Nidhogg Dungeon and Brasilis

Hello I'd like to suggest implementing the new dungeons Nidhogg and Brasilis dungeons. Given that brasilis dungeon is a very easy way to make money and it will actually KILL the economy(i've been there in other servers and it did kill it easly) would be fair to reduce the drop rates in Brasilis dungeon to a fair rates for withreless rose/crystal mirror drops. As for Nidhogg i believe its a must dungeon(yes its not official as i know but soon will be !)

The only reason that most of this isn't in yet is due to us still being on a Sakray-base. I was actually going to push for opening the maps here this week, but this depends on whether there are any other dependencies for the maps such as textures.

Why are we still on a Sakray-base? Testing for a new Xray Renewal client fell through a few weeks ago due to some packet issues and reverting to a non-Xray client would mean loss of a majority of the custom modifications and less configurability.

We'll see how things go with the implementation. For now, the plans are to unlock the maps and put in the normal custom NPCs so people can use it as a hometown for now. Monsters and such come later after approval and testing -- and most likely will be placed on Wool initially.

Pardon my naiveness, but can you please enunciate? I didn't understand.. :( Did you mean you are planning to start these maps or not? ;o Brasilis and Nydhogg are both like an essential part of RO now.. One being for a good way to make zeny, for both new and existing players (it seems the economy here on A-RO is extremely slow.. and like people buy ONLY over-upgraded stuff, that too IF they're in a mood too :( ) there's no way for newbies like us to make zeny..

I hope you understand how annoying it is to lose everything from a server that goes down w/o any warning.. I had really amazing equips, zeny and everything settled in.. Then to come here, and see everything locked away.. Even the lack of @go command made it very tough (being used to it made it that way). And, please can you explain the point of @die? Wouldn't @load be better? Is losing 1% really that necessary? I mean come on!! I know I'm hijacking Enigma's thread here, but this rant is really necessary!! :( Please do try to implement those dungeons and PLEASE implement @load. PLEASE! >.< Our entire guild (Delirium) is suffering from no@go-alitis :P

They (Brasilis/Nidhogg) will be implemented. Maps and warps go in this week (if possible). Monsters/items/NPC later on.

Anything else is up for discussion still.

Would be nice to actually contribute to this discussion rather than putting a useless comment. But from what i'm getting is brasilis dungeon ruins the economy, i'm fully aware of that which is why modifying the drop rates is a must.

Looking at the economy now (people not buying anything other than +8 to +10s) It's quite next to impossible to obtain a respectable amount of zeny. In my honest opinion, the economy needs a boom, like really. Changing the drop rates of the damn Iara to 0.01% won't make sense in implementing the map in the first place.

Also, one huge request: Please for the love of god, keep a separate tool dealer? The All-In-One is so annoying!! Just separate out the tool dealer from it and keep all of it in that only? Is that possible please? Also, it would really help if the tool dealers would have a different sprite.. I keep getting confused since almost ALL the npcs look like a kafra.. I ALWAYS end up clicking on the wrong one, and it's extremely annoying.. The healer npc, the kafra, the warper and tool dealer, ALL look the same ;_;

@load!! Please! @load!! and -1 to @die [BOTH DO THE SAME THING! Only @load helps us avoid the -1% exp!]

One last suggestion: I see no one parties here or anything like that. To encourage more parties to happen, try hiking the even share exp for 10 or more people in a party to +20% or something? Or even the level range to be 20 lvls, instead of 10? Like once a player reaches lvl 79, he or she can join up an abbey party (with players ranging from 79 to 99) and get leveled up really fast.. These two things will guaranteed encourage the players to party here more. I really sincerely request you to look into this idea.. Thanks a million ^_^

This is possible but I should point out that unless you need the other menus, you can actually switch it to the simple, one-click shop NPC via the Tuning Specialist in Prontera.

This is possible but we need to see support. It's actually a topic that was never brought up.

Please separate out the suggestions. It makes it harder to sort these out from Approved/Null and Void and also clutters things when the posts are referenced. Most of the time I'll ignore (not really but should) any other suggestions in a thread unless they're completely relevant to the original request. Plus, it goes hand in hand with the request to separate out the Tool Dealer. ^_-

Overall though, thank you for all of the input. As far as the discussion with @load goes, it was originally denied but since I'm seeing the topic come up again, we'll see how things go. It originally went that @load was unnecessary since it rules out the need for Butterfly Wings or the Teleport skill (which is common anyways for Warp Portal). @die was implemented as an emergency option if a player was stuck without an item and was too lazy to use the reset position function on the Control Panel. Quite a bit of the discussion went that if you were high enough to worry about losing 1%, you could afford Butterfly Wings or spend a few minutes leveling in Gonryun and pick them up as drops buuuut the discussion could go a different direction this time.

Regarding the Brasilis Dungeon and Nidhogg one, I got a question, by the time you implement them, will patching be enough to enter said places or will we need to DL an external program (like sakray or whatever) to actually be able to enter?

I am also assuming these will be on the warper.

One thing I got to say about the loots before it becomes something people will cry over, is the exisstance of Dragon Manteau [1] and Dragon Vest [1], both dropped from the monster Draco, if you implement them, I am ok with that, if you don't, I am also ok with that, but on my last server, there was this big dumb "Oh no, too OP, nerf pl0x" thing going on, as it normally drops at 5%, with these rates, it would be 100%.

One thing I would also like to point out is that these 2 gears aren't official, AFAIK, you can't obtain them on iRO or any other official server other than kRO in the Renewal server, and, I think the Vest isn't even a monster drop, rather a reward for a quest, anyhow, I would like you to consider that for your final decision, and in case its needed, I could confirm this by going back to iRO and talking with some friends. Again, I am fine with either implementation or not, as long as you make it a final decision and don't change it later, thats when the real problem happens.


Now, going off topic here to discuss about the economy issue.

The way things work on Amistr is actually one of the best economies I have ever seen, with the reduction of Mavka loot and certain other zeny inflating items and no card remover, items are worth what they actually should be valued for. If you want a kick in the economy, and in the game in general, you will need creativity and intelligence, instead of "Farm X monster for zeny, then buy all you need, game over", you will have to see what you can farm with your current chars and how to do it faster, not just that, there is an actual playing with other people as you will need them to improve, you will need them to party places to obtain better loot, and you willl need them to buy stuff from you and so on, and thanks to Baby WoE, even non-trans items such as Muffler [1], Manteau [1], Shoes [1], etc are also valuable here. A tip I can give you if you want to make some cash, try hunting Raydrics, with no card remover, people will need several Raydric cards to suffice their needs, not just that, Raydric also happens to drop eluniums, which is something that is ALWAYS in demand, as new equipment comes, new things needs to be improved and etc etc etc.


And regarding the @go and @load, its just that... Well, there is no real counter-argument I can give to it, other than use/buy Butterfly Wings, and we already got the Warper for traveling issues, I don't know, its simply something that I don't like, for several yet minimal reasons.

I intended to suggest something similar but I guess I never got around to it. My thoughts though were to have it 15 levels for share (Although 10 isn't all that hard to get within), and a 5-10% bonus per person in the party. Although the exact boost can be negotiated.


Id also have no problem with the tool dealer being seperate. All my accounts are set to 1-click tool dealer already.

Already thought of. MVP and "boss" type monsters have their drop rate at x10, rather then x30 like normal monsters. MVP CARDS drop at x5.
