[01.13.2009] Server and Client Updates

As of the 13th of January in 2010, we are now utilizing eAthena Revision 14217. For precise core changes, click the eAthena link and view the ChangeLog.txt. It's recommended to check the eAthena ChangeLog since it may include information that is not listed here.

Bug Fixes:
  • Item Merchies - The Quick Access mode wasn't working for awhile, but this was promptly fixed within an hour of implementation last week.
  • Hat Dude - The Hat Dude was giving the incorrect Hokage Hat previously for the white selection. This is now fixed.
  • Weight Checks And Typos - Courtesy of eAthena, a few weight checks were fixed in the 13.1 quests and Orc's Memory instance. General item database updates were also done by eA.
  • PvP "Last Dungeon" Warp - Some players were experiencing this line in the menu splitting into two before. This is now fixed of course (why else would it be listed here?).
  • Active Player Ladder - A few updates to PHP on our web-server's backend changed the handling of the active player ladder, so it was pulling accounts active since 1969. We have adjusted this and it now properly counts from the last 30 days.
Client Updates:
  • Map Implementations - For a few of this week's changes, a new map "ball2" was added along with the lines to duplicate the ten additional PvP maps.
Other Updates:
  • Weekly Bonus Gift Drop - For this week, the latest collectible hat is Pirate Dagger!
  • WoE Castle Details On Start And Login - In order to eliminate some confusion caused by the castle rotations each month, the broadcasts now state which castle is open.
  • Prontera Flag Adjustment - To accomodate the new WoE castle launching this weekend, the central Prontera flags have been revised. In addition, we have adjusted them for faster updating regarding the rotations, rather than waiting for maintenance.
  • New WoE:FE Scheduled - As noted above, more details will follow this post shortly, but the basic information is that Prontera Castle 1 will be open for the taking on Saturday 22:00 (@time) until 23:00 (@time). This is in response to requests to add a third WoE. Also, please disregard this week's mention after this WoE ends. Temporarily, I had named it a "tertiary" WoE, and this is now changed.
  • Poring Ball - This minigame has been implemented on Amistr. Special thanks go out to diedlikeahero (and GM staff) and Saruka who scripted and translated it. it has been tweaked to use our palettes, use our Central Prontera savepoint, and be accessible via the Warp Manager.
  • Dual Build Scripting - Due to issues during testing, this is delayed from implementation. I've personally found a number of holes in how it's handled and update times need to be accounted for properly. This will make it in *for testing on Wool* once these issues are ironed out. Once players are comfortable with the way it works, it will be rolled into Fleece.
  • Backend Work - Please let us know if there are any oddities this week. Quite a large amount of backend work was done to clean-up our script-base a bit.
  • PvP Maps Expanded - By request (and quite an old one at that), we have expanded the amount of PvP arenas for players. These now include the PvP Nightmare maps and GvG maps duplicated to be normal PvP maps.
  • Dungeon Names Revised - As also requested, the dungeon names in the Warp Manager have been revised as per full submitted listing.. even down to changing "Turtle Island" and "Byalan Island" to "Turtle Dungeon" and "Byalan Dungeon", and keeping "Ayothaya Ancient Shrine"...
