[02.17.2010] Server and Client Updates

Post by Koma »

As of the 17th of February in 2010, we are now utilizing eAthena Revision 14246. For precise core changes, click the eAthena link. It's recommended to check the eAthena ChangeLog since it may include information that is not listed here.

Bug Fixes:
  • Succubus Pet Bonus - According to iROWiki, the Succubus pet bonus should give 2% HP and not 5% HP. Thus, it is also reflected here that way instead of as eAthena has it.
  • Disguise Block - To prevent some issues with certain events during any disguise allowances, we have made it so that any disguises are disabled in PvP, BG, WoE/GvG, and Event maps. This is in particularly a response to not being able to target players when disguised.
  • Magni Cap Combination - Another set of items was not fully working when the headgear was synthesized into a custom hat. This is now resolved. Again, if there are more issues like this, please report them on the forums for a fairly quick turnaround.
Other Updates:
  • Weekly Bonus Gift Drop - For this week, the latest collectible hat is Evil Snake Lord Hat[1]! Remember, you can message "NPC:GiftDrop" the text "INFO!" and it will tell you what the current Gift Drop is too!
  • Valentine's Day Event - Over the weekend and up until this maintenance, the Valentine's Day event has been active and part of this week's focus. This is now disabled. This event involved the Chocolate NPCs, giftable personalized rings, Succubus & Incubus Pets, Valentine's Hats, and disguises. Further details of the event can be found here. Also, the Chinese New Year was celebrated with event prizes such as the Love China hat during this time.
  • Event Pet Food - As promised by Cupid, the pet food for the Incubus and Succubus pets have been distributed to the Pet Groomers in Geffen, Izlude, Yuno, Lighthalzen, Morocc, Old/Neo Payon, and Prontera.
  • Renewal Client Testing - We are currently in the process of testing this, however, it seems we have issues with a number of our customs that still need ironing out.
  • Linux Updates - It has been awhile, but we have updated the back-end server core that our server is hosted on. This includes updates to Linux, MySQL, our firewall, and other tools for compiling the server and operation.
