Dex ball/cards? (Red spheres)

Post by Shiat »

I've seen around that there were these red spheres slotted into armor that gives it a boost in it's specified area.
I'd like to know what it is/where to get it...or how it even works for that matter >_< (and if it works?)

Not actually a card. It's some sort of enchantment system which gives you a random stat(up to +3) into armor. The NPC is near the south warp of Prontera along the sidewalk.

Ah I see, thanks a lot! And do you happen to know the success rate of the enchantment?

Full iROWiki details are available @ http://irowiki.org/wiki/Hidden_Enchant or if you're concerned about any inaccuracies, the script is available @ http://svn.eathena.ws/svn/ea/trunk/npc/ ... an_arm.txt.

To save you the hassle of having to click those links though and just answer the question:
Armor ClassChance of Success
+1 +2 +3 Cumulative
Unslotted40% 26.67% 13.33% 80%
Slotted36% 24% 12% 72%
High Grade32.73% 21.82% 10.91% 65.46%

To expand on Koma's Table:
The first % (+1) is the chance the armour will gain a +1 stat point
The second % (+2) is the chance the armour will gain a +2 stat point
The Third % (+3) is the chance the armour will gain a +3 stat point

"Cumulative" means in this case "Success Chance". For example: Unslotted armour has a 80% success chance, so it has an 80% success chance of getting ether +1,+2 or a +3 stat bonus. There is a 20% chance that an unslotted armour will break.

It is also important to note that only armours listed at the NPC are enchant-able.
