[10.07.2009] Server and Client Updates

Post by Koma »

As of the 7th of October in 2009, we are now utilizing eAthena Revision 14083. For precise core changes, click the eAthena link and view the ChangeLog.txt. It's recommended to check the eAthena ChangeLog since it may include information that is not listed here.

Bug Fixes:
  • Hat Dude Corrections - Several Hat Dude quest fixes were implemented early after the last maintenance. This was in regards to missing item requirement descriptions, and improper requirement item counts. It is now how it *should* be and was *intended* to be.
  • Hat Synthesizer Holes Fixed - There is now no way to synthesize an already synthesized hat into another one. While this had no benefits (since it would end up eliminating the card included), no player can make this mistake now.
  • Random Gift Drop - Some players didn't understand how this event script worked, so now it'll give a proper error message if things are done incorrectly.
  • Krieger von Midgard Battleground - While this has yet to be tested in its entirety, a few fixes have been made to it already.
  • eAthena Highlights - Marionette Control now has an unlimited duration (but is still broken with distance), a few missing scrolls were added to the no-trade database, and some other smaller odds and ends
Other Updates:
  • 24/7 Gift Drop Event - This week's changes to what's available from this permanent event drop reward are the following: Bloody Branches, Enriched Elunium, and Enriched Oridecon all have a 30% rate of rolling when you claim your prize. The remaining 10% has a chance of rolling the "Brown Paper Bag Hat". Click the items for details. Yes, it does have its stats. No, it cannot be synthesized.
  • War of Emperium Castles Switched - As per the start of the new month, the castles have already been rotated. WoE:FE now has Prontera Castle 1 "Kriemhild" open, and WoE:SE now has Schwaltzvalt Castle 3 "Viblainn" open. Within the next coming days, the previous castles may be opened for players in the Asian/Australian timezones.
  • Mavka Witherless Rose Drops (Revisited) - Considering that these drops were dropped to 15% to equate the Wild Rose drop rates earlier on in the server life, they have been adjusted to scale more properly. They are now dropping at a 24% drop rate. The reasoning behind this is the mob spawn count of Mavkas (15) in Moscovia versus the Wild Rose count (50) in Geffen.
  • Reset Fee Decrease - In the further tweaking of the reset NPC, in preparation for a dual build system, we have dropped the level 90 skyrocketted fees in favor of a less expensive method. Instead, base levels over and including 90 will merely multiply the normal rate with each reset up to 15 times. For example, if you are level 99, and you have had 16 resets so far, you would calculate it like this: 99 (Level) * 1000z (Zeny Modifier) * 15 (# Of Resets -- since the cap is 15) = 1.485m maximum for a STAT reset. The maximum for a skill reset would be about 787.5k.
  • @ALootID2 Added - As some players have requested, a system to autoloot at least a second item specifically has been implemented. This can be used in conjunction with @autoloot and @alootid. We are also looking into a simpler array method for future expansion.
  • Monster Spawn Adjustments - The anti-AFKmist method of monsters no longer spawning within your range of sight is now dissolved to the cheers of some farmers. This comes with it changes to the idle source methods. Idlers can no longer gain experience from their homunculus killing, and can no longer deactivate idle through the use of skills. This of course does not affect active players unless they stand in one place for long periods of times.
  • King of the Hill (Keep Away) - This arena has been added to the Warp Manager. The short description of this event is to see how long you can survive against other players.
  • Kafra Guild Storage Access - As suggested and accepted, we now allow guilds to access their guild storage from any Kafra or Cool Event Corp. Cat Hand Agents do NOT yet support this functionality. In addition, a feature to @storeall from a Kafra menu will also be implemented to ease the process of moving items from inventory to storage.
