It's true.
Hunting Spear is supposed to be one handed.
May also wanna check Long Horn, Pole Axe, and Brocca just in case.

That's an interesting one and is being investigated further.

According to our DB, it is a one-handed spear -- as well as the other mentioned ones (Long Horn, Pole Axe, and Brocca). It isn't being overrided by DB2 either.

View: For normal items, defines a replacement view-sprite for the item (eg:
Making apples look like apple juice). The special case are weapons
and ammo where this value indicates the weapon-class of the item.

EDIT: Just tested it on Wool with a non-GM account. 1422 (Hunting Spear) equips with 2133 (Tournament Shield) on a Lord Knight and Paladin with no equipping problems. More details?

I believe the problem is this, You possibly equipped this Hunting Spear [0] [Two Handed] Item ID# 1429 (Hunting_Spear_M)
This item in Unobtainable in game as it is a rental item.

There is a description error stating its Slotted though.

I checked the normal dropped item in my original post but this makes sense as Kiana pointed out.

The rental item version of the Hunting Spear (1429 @ http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?iname ... rch=Search) does indeed take up both slots: Weapon & Shield due to a Loc value of 34.

Loc: Equipment's placement. Values are:
2^1 002 = Weapon
2^5 032 = Shield
Meaning 32+2=34

Even RMS is conflicted here in saying it's a two-handed spear yet classifies it as a one-handed spear. One reason may be that the rental item doesn't allow for the combo, but that should be taken care of script-side, so it is an oddity.

EDIT: The original issue was solved, however, there is a description issue or lack of information regarding the rental item. I'm resolving this as a no-issue though considering that rental items are not available on the server.
