The sad thing is, I just polled a few players on the server now from the UK, Middle East, Central Europe, and Canada, and I'm getting fairly similar numbers to a prospective Dallas, TX host right now -- then again they're all mostly below 200ms.
We'll just have to see with this next move how things go.
So far, we've moved from Scranton, PA -> Tampa Bay, FL with no luck. Dallas, TX is looking like proper middle-ground at the moment.

I Keep getting huge lag spikes (1-2 minute long) or even disconnects every few minutes of normal play

For anyone currently experiencing lag, I can confirm that there's a current period of packetloss at the moment. I'm in talks with the datacenter now to resolve this in a timely fashion.
Overall, our system resources are fine, however we have about a 19% packetloss rate to even Google.com (although my sampling period was less than a minute).
