i am not very good at scripting so I dont really understand what that girl did but a decent anti-bot system is a good idea i think.
Please check page 61 of that thread. I understand that it may take some time to debug it or w/e.
I cannot post the actual script here because it more than 130 thousand characters long.
Is it possible to implement this in-game?

Forum rules
Rule #1: Be respectful. It's common sense. You wouldn't like me breaking your arms off, would you?
Rule #2: No offensive material. This is related to our first rule, but if you didn't get the picture, here it is.
Rule #3: All contributions must pass general public inspections as well as staff inspections before being implemented. This is in regards to quality and bug control.
Rule #4: No excessively large files. We won't implement something that will take days to download for our dial-up players.
Rule #5: Accept constructive criticism (also see rule #1 in regards to giving criticism). This may seem blunt, but some people just might not like your work.
Rule #6: No excessive customs. This is in regards to the Scripts and Architecture forums. They may NOT interfere with actual gameplay more than needed. If you want to create a story where you show items, fine. But nothing rewarding besides the experience (not experience points) and fun--which are more than just rewards.
Rule #7: Follow the Forum Rules. Of course these forums fall under those also.
Rule #8: Don't support breaking the In-Game Rules. Yes, no advertising or promoting the ignorance of those either.
By contributing and posting in these forums, you agree to abide by these rules. Any form of circumvention or breaking of these rules is subject to immediate post or thread deletion at a moderator's discretion. Excessive refusal to follow these guidelines may lead to termination of your forums account.

Re: Bot Police
I believe the server already has an anit-bot system, when you log-in it checks.
Also, I'm not too sure about eathena scripting either but what if you are AFK in town and it ask you to input something? I don't think anyone would enjoy getting mistakenly jail/ban only because they were AFK.

Re: Bot Police
doing high end mvps and having that shrimp happen? no thanks
Re: Bot Police
From the look of it, without customization it only trigger when you walk over certain town cells or load a new map. Getting triggered should also tag you as invulnerable. It can also be changed to trigger as you kill certain monsters. Thus, by default, it wont show up when you are killing mvps.
Still a god awful unpleasant-looking and annoying -to-the-core script.
EDIT: getting this trigger when you walk into emp room is actually awesome.

Re: Bot Police

Re: Bot Police
the systems anti-bot check is just cosmetic as far as i see because it is just part or the welcome message. I think this one does not trigger at all if theres a map w/in the character's acquisition range.
Re: Bot Police
The system's anti-bot check isn't really cosmetic, nor is it part of the login message -- although it is done on login and tags as needed.
As far as implementing a script like this, generally implementation of an open-source method of bot prevention just leads to bot makers (I keep using vague terms since it's just not right for a GM to mention the programs by name) creating ways around those methods. It's easy enough to filter for certain server messages and respond back appropriately. These methods tend to bug actual players more than the botters they intend to catch.
Unknown methodologies are much better and tend to produce better netted results -- hence why we are actually staying quite silent about the checks involved. Some players have been checked by the current system though so may already know how one part works.
