Upcoming Website and Server Moves

Do not be alarmed by any downtime over the next few days. We're not quitting and not going away.

As a heads-up, we will be moving dedicated server hosts for the game-server either on Friday (9/10) or on Monday (9/13 -- more likely). This is to help reduce lag -- considering that our current server is located in a really poor location (Tampa Bay, FL). Instead, we will be moving to a Dallas, TX location for a middle-ground for all players.

In addition, we will also be moving the website on Friday (9/10) or later today. Our current yearly contract is finished as of this Friday, and since we've been having so much downtime or maintenance periods with this host, we'll be switching over to one with better service and a better reputation.

Since it's better to not have both the game-server and website go down at the same time, the game-server move most likely will be on Monday -- unless we can deem the transition fast enough to not impact WoE. The last time we did a move, some players couldn't connect for a day afterall.

EDIT: The website move has been pretty much completed. I am currently targeting the server move now for tomorrow.

This server move has been completed. We are now housed in Dallas, TX, and so far, the website has been running smoothly.

If you are having connection issues, the Companion installer @ install.amistr.net has been updated -- or simply use the Patcher to update to the new server.
