[11.04.2009] Server and Client Updates

As of the 4th of November in 2009, we are now utilizing eAthena Revision 14123. For precise core changes, click the eAthena link and view the ChangeLog.txt. It's recommended to check the eAthena ChangeLog since it may include information that is not listed here.

Bug Fixes:
  • Pumpkin Head Hat Stat Bonuses - While these were missing originally, we have put the +2 and +3 to all STATS bonuses in. This will last until the end of the month (or may possibly be indefinite depending on what is decided upon).
Client Updates:
  • New Hat Sprites - The sprites are now available within the client. If you'd like to try them out on Wool, this is now possible as well.
  • Halloween Prontera - As of one of the later Halloween phases, the Halloween version of Prontera is now enabled. This will be removed later in the week.
  • New Loading Screens - I incorrectly packaged the GRF, but these are on their way with the removal of the Halloween maps.
Other Updates:
  • Weekly Bonus Gift Drop - For this week, the latest collectible hat is Purple Cowboy Hat!
  • Halloween Events - Throughout the week, we had enabled various Halloween event scripts. This included the official 2006, 2008, and 2009 events, along with our own unique "Blobbing For Apples".
  • War of Emperium: SE Guild Dungeons - These are starting to appear in eAthena, however, the monsters are still unofficial. For now, access to these areas will be disabled, but feel free to check them out on Wool.
  • Episode 13.1 Part-Time Work Quest - This is now implemented as it is now freely available and part of eAthena now.
  • And That's It! - It may look short, but most of this week's development work went towards adjustments for Halloween. Although the Halloween work may not look like much from eAthena (who actually did plenty of updates on their own this week -- see http://svn.eathena.ws/bugs/timeline" TARGET="_blank), we did a live rollout of these quests which normally would have required a server recompile due to monster limits and map additions. We did this by swapping current unused mob values and making use of our unused PvP Payon maps. We also did a few live bug fixes as they were reported by players for these events.
