WPE sensitivity

Post by Valiere »

Okay so it's pretty late at night, me and my friend decide to go hunt some valks and in the middle of dsing this thing, I get kicked off and the server says I'm WPE'ing, which I wasn't. This happens about 3-4 times and we spend more than an hour hunting this damn valkyrie, and apparently I was sending too many packets back to the server...with no 3rd person program. :] So here's my suggestion, could you possibly lower the sensitivity to the WPE packet thingies? Because my friend here, who's a priest, says she doesn't wanna get kicked off in the middle of woe because she spammed sw on the emp >_> lol wpe priest :]

b&nd for wpeing you cheating...

It has happened to me as well. Lower it porva.

EDIT: And when I went on the test server the other day I got disconnected while showing Valorous/Plike/Shiu my bombing speed. The last thing I would want would be to be disconnected in the middle of WoE for killing too fast.

I've gotten kicked for 187 aspd DS on valk lol, and my friend got kicked several times by going 190 aspd on his sniper and getting stones with stapo card.

WPE protection just by the rate of packets sent is the worst thing.
+1 to it being less sensitive (or removed).

WPE sensitivity has been tested with item usage spamming as well. There should be no issue here with regular use. The only other possibility is lag causing a surge of packets.

However, I have noticed that when people have been reporting these kicks, looking at the logs, they're accurately timed in previous instances when they were kicked -- yet when the second request comes in to look into it, they no longer are like that. I've seen these instances twice so far.

On another note, it is not based on ASPD. The sensitivity is actually already set very low (low as in insensitive) by normal standards.

On that note, if you're talking about me doing slower ds's or some crap, yeah i had to slow down my clicking because apparently the server can't handle how fast I click. I mean if you'd like I can always demonstrate for you :] I'll fraps my whole screen to prove that I don't WPE while being able to get kicked for for that exact reason.

Be sure to run Task Manager and open up your Taskbar so we can see the processes as well.

This could also be related to: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=474" TARGET="_blank since it was around the same time it seems.

If you seriously think that you're able to use DS at 1ms between skill uses a minimum of 30 times in a row is bad sensitivity...

Apparently so? if I could do it 3 times? And Holiday safety walled at that rate a couple times too, and not to mention this isn't just happening to me and Holiday. Note the other people posting on this thread.
